The third Coffee Talk of the Series of Conversation Circles with the Local Community took place on April 16, as part of the 2024 International Day for Monuments and Sites celebrations. This edition was dedicated to the theme of disasters and conflicts in light of the Venice Charter (for the conservation and restoration of monuments and historic sites). The conversation focused on the earthquakes of 1755 and 1969, with particular emphasis on the impact of the 1969 earthquake on the lives of residents, especially in the city of Lagoa. Memories of this event were shared, recalling that fateful date and the months that followed, especially the damage caused to the convent building, which at the time housed the primary school, and how this damage forced the immediate transfer of students to the new school built within the former convent grounds.
