On March 15, we kicked off the Series of Conversation Circles with the Local Community, which will take place between March and May 2024. The conversations are scheduled biweekly, from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM, at the São José Convent Cultural Center in Lagoa.
As a participatory research project, CONVENTUS considers initiatives like the Conversation Circle Series essential because they give a voice to the local population of the Municipality of Lagoa. With their help, we can dive into the memories, experiences, meanings, and values they hold and attribute to the Convent. Fully open to the participation of the local community in its various forms, generations, profiles, and interests, this series will be a unique moment of sharing and discovering memories and stories connected to the Convent, promoting the preservation of its social, cultural, and heritage legacy over time.
This first Conversation attracted significant attendance from the local community, resulting in a valuable sharing and discovery of memories and stories related to the building. Many more will follow!
